Biometrics Industry News Roundup: Looking Back on 2014, Looking Forward With CES 2015

Internet of Things, M2M, BiometricsThe first full week of the year brought with it both reflection and a glimpse of the future. On Wednesday we set out on our examination of the 2014 FindBiometrics Year in Review by breaking down the results of the first poll question. Meanwhile, International CES was taking place in Las Vegas, featuring an incredible amount of biometrics news.

Here is what 2015 is starting to look like in Identity Management:

Biometrics at CES 2015

All technology minded eyes were on Las Vegas this week with CES 2015 promising, as usual, to start the year off with a fair share of electronic excitement. The two big buzz makers at this year’s major exhibition were connected cars and the Internet of Things – areas of application regular readers will recognize as having a welcome place for biometric solutions.

This year’s CES saw a huge number of biometrics companies showing off new technology as we take our first steps into an increasingly post-password era. From FIDO Ready solutions, to the iPassport, to a biometric mCommerce sticker for your phone – biometrics was all over this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
